Brief report from the Crew on board John Merricks: 14/08/07 10am.
The crew and the boat are all fine and safe in Plymouth.
It was very windy, wet and rough last night and they had a combination of problems:
The cooker wouldn’t work so no hot food or drink
A lot of water in the boat, so everything and everyone soaked
Quite of bit of seasickness!
So looking at the ongoing bad forecast, they took the sensible decision at approx 2am to retire and go into Plymouth.
