Farr 45 John Merricks completes the Fastnet Race
After a competitive week of racing at Skandia Cowes Week, Volvo RYA Keelboat Programme sailors have now finished the 2005 Fastnet Race. Covering 608 miles, the Fastnet Race sends the sailors from Cowes, along the south coast of England around the Fastnet Rock and back to Plymouth.
This is the first time that the Volvo RYA Keelboat Programme has entered a boat in the Rolex Fastnet Race and the first time that many of her crew will have sailed in the race itself.
The boat sailedwith a crew of eleven, seven of whom are Volvo RYA Keelboat Members including:
